Dr. Secord has been in private practice for 9½ years, moving to Michigan after practicing in Texas area for several years. His interests include tennis, martial arts (before an activity-ending injury to his ankle in college), computers and running. Dr. Secord currently has no immediate family in the area, with brothers and sisters spread across the country, including California; Wisconsin and Virginia.
Dr. Secord has joined the practice of Dr. Michael Graham in the pursuit of assisting the foot and ankle needs of the fine people of Michigan. Dr. Secord received his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Dallas and attended the Temple University College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his post-doctoral training at The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. This is a multi-year surgical residency centering on reconstructive foot and ankle trauma and diabetic care and is one of the top 10 surgical residencies in the country. This hospital is the training facility for graduates of The University of Pennsylvania (an Ivy League University setting) and includes attending physicians with world-renown reputations training the residents. The residents rotate through a Curative Labs™ wound care center at the hospital as well. Dr. Secord is Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine affiliated with the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, is a Fellow of The American Society of Podiatric Dermatology, a fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association and part of the professional membership of the American Diabetes Association. He is a member of The American Association of Diabetic Educators and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
