Appointments
We have recently instituted a new procedure to deal with missed appointments. All patients are contacted by the office the night before a scheduled appointment to remind them when and where to show up. A voice message is left if a machine is available at the home of the patient and we can't speak directly to you. If a patient cannot make the scheduled appointment, 24 hours notice is required. The new policy states that any appointment not canceled within that 24 hour period will accrue a $30.00 charge on the account. The account charge will be settled before the next office visit is completed.

We know you have many choices when choosing a Podiatrist in Birmingham, MI, so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our Web site. If, for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible.

Insurance
Our office accepts assignment on most insurance plans. Prior to your office visit with one of our doctors, the insurance clerk will attempt to verify your coverage before any charges are incurred, but remember that it is ultimately your responsibility to know your benefits and to secure a referral for the visit (if one is required). Our insurance specialists try very hard to obtain information on your insurance benefits. There is usually an amount that the patient is responsible for to be credited towards the balance on their account. Unless arrangements are made with the insurance clerk, the amount is due in full at the time of the visit or the first billing cycle. This is also true if (at the time of presentation to the office), adequate information or a referral is not in hand. At times, it is important to have payment arrangements, which may be possible.
